A hefty 100-kilogram python was reportedly caught while locals were working at a garden in Mueang Chonburi yesterday.
Yesterday, (March 1st), about eight locals in the Baan Suan sub-district worked together to help pull the massive python from the undergrowth in the garden area they were working in.
The python reportedly attempted to escape several times. It took about 30 minutes to catch the python in total. The python is six meters long and weighs about 100 kilograms according to animal rescue workers who were called to oversee the extraction of the gigantic snake.
The landowner, Ms. Phontip Raksasin, 54, told Associated Thai Press, "We were cleaning the area before we were surprised to discover the python. We have always had snakes in this area occasionally but never one quite on this scale, especially in a garden and farming area that is frequented by local residents."
Professional snake handlers reportedly relocated the python to a forest away from inhabited areas after the local residents got to take several photo opportunities with the monster-sized snake.
