New Chonburi Covid19 cases drop to 316, lowest in three weeks, 2 new deaths

Highlights:

The Chonburi Department of Public Health announced 316 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 today with two new deaths, January 24th, 2022.

This makes a total of 14,634 cases of Covid-19 in the current round of infections, with 4,790 people still under medical care/supervision, and with a total of 15 recorded deaths in Chonburi since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 822 people were also released and recovered yesterday in Chonburi. 9,829 people in total have now been released from medical care and recovered in Chonburi since this current wave of Covid-19 began at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

One person was listed as being in serious condition in Chonburi currently, either on a ventilator or pneumonia. The person was triple vaccinated. According to the Chonburi Department of Public Health, the vast majority of recent cases are mild or asymptomatic.

Two new deaths were the average age of 75 with personal health problems and pre-existing conditions. One of them was not vaccinated.

In total, 1,938,788 people in Pattaya and Chonburi have received their first dose of a Covid -19 vaccine which is 83.24 percent of the total Chonburi population. Of those, 300,853 have received their first dose and are what the Thai government calls 608 groups (elders, have chronic health problems, and pregnant) which is 81.33 percent of those in these risk groups in Chonburi.

The district-level new cases were as follows today:

Mueang Chonburi 59, Si Racha 55, Banglamung (Pattaya) 99, Panat Nikhom 24, Sattahip 15 (in Navy area 1), Ban Bueng 24, Phan Thong 12, ฺBor Thong 1, Ko Si Chang 2 and 25 people transferred from other provinces for medical care.

The details on the cases are as follows:

  1. Work and stayed in Rayong, transferred from other provinces for medical care, 18 cases
  2. Cluster, work camp of Tianli International company in Ban Bueng, 19 cases
  3. Cluster, T.P Group Interfoods company in Panat Nikhom, 10 cases
  4. Risky occupations meeting many people, 11 cases
  5. 3 medical personnel
  6. Back from other provinces 2 cases from Bangkok and Samut Prakan
  7. Close contacts from previously confirmed cases in families – 83 cases, in workplaces –52 cases, close personal contacts – 22 cases, and joined a party – 2 cases
  8. Close contacts of a confirmed patient (under investigation), 4 cases
  9. 89 cases cases close contacts of a confirmed patient (under investigation)
