Daily minimum wage. The Nation

Thai govt considering a small hike to basic daily wage before yearend. Thailand's Labour Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn said the government was looking into the prospect of raising the minimum daily wage this year as a "New Year's gift" for workers. 
However, he said, the hike will not hit the 400-baht per day level as promised by the premier earlier. 
He also said the wage rate will vary from province to province and will not exceed 10 baht. Phiphat put the 10-baht limit down to employers' stance, economic growth and inflation.
The minimum daily wage has been adjusted about 10 times since 2012 when the basic wage stood at between 222 and 300 baht. The most recent increase was in September 2022. 
As per the National Statistical Office, Thailand's workforce stands at about 39 million people. Here is how much they are paid, based on where they work:
