The Thai government is set to reduce the visa-free stay period from 60 days to 30 days, following an agreement in principle by relevant authorities to prevent illegal businesses from exploiting the exemption scheme, according to the Tourism and Sports Ministry.
Tourism and Sports Minister Sorawong Thienthong stated that the Foreign Ministry acknowledged concerns raised by stakeholders in recent weeks. While the reduction has been agreed upon in principle, further discussions are needed before the regulation is officially adjusted.#ThailandNews#tourists đ§
